Spouse

On Saturday Spouse was struck by a car while walking near our home. He's out of hospital now and recovering very well but it will be a long while before we're both over the shock of this horrific incident.
I know that anyone who reads my Spouse Chronicles will worry and wonder about his well-being, but he's quite on the mend, and any silence on my part is purely temporary in nature.
Please think of us.

My thoughts and prayers are with you both (we say "you'uns" around here). Its funny how you can come to think of someone so far away, that you have only read of, as a friend. It is one of the wonders of being human, I suppose, to feel worry and pain for friends. Please tell spouse to hurry and mend - we need the stories :)

Isn't it scary to come face to face with the fact that we are only here temporarily and we don't know when our time is over.... It makes every day count that much more. I am glad you get to appreciate each passing moment still.

I am not sure what your beliefs are, but I believe in prayer and sent a few up for you this afternoon. It can't hurt after all.

Coming in from Julie and Julie's new blog.

thanks

So glad he is on the mend.

A little aside your blog has not updated on my pc since December 31 which is why I haven't been commenting. I had thought you were still away. Then suddenly today, all of these posts which will keep me busy for a while downloaded. Strange don't you think. Best to you both. Barb xo

Hi everybody. Thanks for all the well-wishes and kind words.
Spouse is doing better- the eight staples were taken out of his head at last, but the pins are still in his broken wrist and will remain there for some time.
Doing better but life still isn't the same. Reality is slowly settling in and there have been very strange and difficult days.
I'll be back to writing as soon as I can bring myself to think along those lines, but the encouragement from everyone here has been wonderful. Thank you!
